God Did

It is Sunday morning, time for a date with El Chapo and Joel Osteen. We only have one more Sunday morning date and El Chapo will be returning to TX to restart her life as a cake designer. She was my first workout partner when I arrived and continues to spend most of her downtime in the gym. She is as solid as a rock, unwavering, and dedicated. I will miss seeing her walking to her room, only a few doors down, with her zebra-like hair swaying. She has been a demonstration of what it means to be accountable, focused, committed, and confident; all of the attributes I will continue to strive to improve upon in my own life.

I am just a little tired this morning. Last night I sat with my old bunkie and watched not one, but two movies. She is a movie, CSI, Law & Order fanatic. I, on the other hand, rarely watch tv; people are usually surprised to see me in the TV room. However, her new job as the kitchen cook keeps her pretty busy, so I welcome the time we have to chill and talk. In less than two weeks we will be bunkies again which I am very excited about.

The day was really chill until it was time for the Grammys. I sat in the TV room with about 40 ladies and watched the show. My crew pretended that we had a booth. It was really fun. That was the first time in a long time that I actually sat down and watched an entire awards show. I loved Lizzo's performance and when the hip hop tribute came on we all went crazy. I love music so much. All I could think about was what I would be doing if I were at home watching the show with my girls. The night ended with my favorite song at the moment, God Did. I have had that on repeat for the past week because I know, "They counted me out. They didn't think that I would make it. But...GOD DID"
