Cheers To the Weekday

I am going to keep this short and sweet. On the inside, I DO NOT ENJOY THE WEEKENDS. LOL! This is completely opposite from how it is on the outside. In the "real world" everyone works all week and looks forward to resting and relaxing on the weekends. It also felt like the weekends went by so fast and the week's drug on. In here, it is completely the opposite for me.

On the weekdays my schedule is full, therefore time goes by really fast. Breakfast is from 6:15a-7:15a, lunch is 10:15a-11:15a, and dinner is 4:15p-5:15p. My work schedule takes up the majority of my morning. The rest of the day I am either in class or working out. This full schedule helps the weekday go by very quickly. However, on the weekends there is nothing to do so I rest and read a lot. I pretty much wake up late, eat, read, sleep, and repeat. That is it.

On Saturdays I clean my room and do laundry. Cleaning my room consists of reorganizing my locker, sweeping and mopping my floor, and washing my bedding. This takes all of an hour because it is not a big space to clean. On Sundays I do even less. I go to the chapel and walk the track, weather permitting. I also like to schedule my video calls on Sundays. Last Sunday I spent some time in the TV room watching the game.

Time is weird. It really is all about perception. A Course in Miracles (ACIM) says "time can be a waster as well as be wasted. The miracle worker, therefore, accepts the time-control factor gladly. He recognizes that every collapse of time brings everyone closer to the ultimate release from time, in which the Son and the Father are one." It took me several rereads, a conversation, and referring to A Return To Love, to fully understand this, and honestly, I am not sure that I actually do now. I still need to sit with it. However, at this moment my understanding is that the only time there really is, is the present moment. We only need time for the same reason we need the body and that is to support us in experiencing life. Once we are able to fully connect with the divine there is no reason for us to need time or the body anymore. Essentially there is no need for us to live any longer. If we already know the truth, that love is the only thing that is real, then we would not need time or the body. Additionally, many people waste so much time on that which is not real.
