Independence Day

Well, I am officially celebrating my last holiday in prison. Thank you Lawd! There are a ton of activities planned for the day. There will be another obstacle course, tug of war, and a few other games. According to my friends, I will but outside all day; we will see how that turns out. I will not lie, I am looking forward to the holiday meal. Allegedly, we are being served BBQ chicken, double cheeseburgers, potato salad, baked beans, key lime pie, and some other stuff. I ate light yesterday because today I am going to turn up. LOL!

Update: We lost the obstacle course and tug of war. It was cool though because we had a ton of fun. The holiday meal was pretty good. I was happy that they actually cooked the burgers on the grill. Around 10 pm the City Of Lexington had their annual fireworks show. I watched it with my friends from my old bunkie’s room. It was a beautiful show. However, it did make me miss my family and think about the years we sat on the top of the parking deck at NC A&T eating pizza and watching the fireworks show. Next year. Next year.
