Welcome Updates

9:08am: Today has started off very well. I called and checked in with my family, everyone seems to be doing okay, including my dad. I had a rough night; I did not sleep that well. Hearing that he is okay has settled my nerves some. I had the opportunity to see two ladies leave this morning, one being El Chapo, my former workout partner. She looked so pretty. She was confident and ready to go. I am so happy for her. 

After I got to work I was asked to go see my case manager. Since we did not have our meeting last week she asked that I come see her to sign off on a few documents. I was happy to do so as we had the opportunity to discuss my release. THANK YOU GOD! That conversation made things real; we are actually discussing my release, the paperwork and dates. 

I immediately called my daughter to tell her what was said and to also check on my dad. He is stable, thank goodness. My girls were excited about the update and we are getting ready to get into go mode. 

Around 1:30pm I found out that I got the job with Special Events. We had our first meeting at 3pm to discuss the job and two upcoming events that are being held next week. I will still maintain my job in education and work with events as needed. I am extremely happy about this position because when I get out I plan to return to the event industry. This just strengths my skill set and adds more notches in my belt.
