When God Flips the Script 📖➡️🎬

From Prison Bars to TV Stars 📺✨

Three years ago, on this very day—August 1, 2022—I was getting ready to self-report to federal prison. I had said goodbye to my home, my family, and the life I once knew. I didn’t know what was waiting for me on the other side. I didn’t know how I would be treated, what I would face, or if I’d ever truly be able to come back from it.

What I did know was that this wasn’t the end of my story.

Today—August 1, 2025—I’m reflecting on how far I’ve come. In just two years home, I’ve been featured on BET+ and now, Lifetime. I’ve gone from silence to spotlight, from shame to storytelling, from a federal case to a full-circle moment on national television.

If you’ve seen the trailer for Chrisleys: Back to Reality, you might’ve caught a glimpse of me speaking truth and walking in my purpose. I was invited to be part of this bold new series that pulls back the curtain on what it really looks like when a family is navigating the fallout of a federal case. The Chrisleys didn’t just invite cameras into their home—they invited transparency, accountability, and healing. And I’m proud to have been one of the voices helping guide that conversation.

This opportunity isn’t just about being seen.

It’s about being heard.

It’s about showing the world that redemption is real. That women who’ve been incarcerated, labeled, and overlooked can rise up, tell their story, and change the narrative—not just for themselves, but for the next woman watching.

Because the truth is, prison didn’t silence me. It refined me.

It reminded me that purpose doesn’t end behind bars—it often begins there.

From that August day in 2022 to this one in 2025, here’s what I’ve learned:

    •    You can lose everything and still rebuild from scratch.

    •    Your past doesn’t disqualify you—it prepares you.

    •    When God flips the script, it won’t look like anything you imagined—but it will look better.

So mark your calendars:

📺 Chrisleys: Back to Reality premieres September 1st on Lifetime.

Check me out. Check us out. Check out the story behind the headlines.

And if you’re standing at the edge of your own hard moment, let this be your sign:

Your story’s not over.

In fact—it might just be getting good.

Here’s to redemption.

Here’s to reinvention.

Here’s to walking boldly in purpose.

With love and truth,

Sharita Mona
