Culinary Events Adventures

I am exhausted. This past week has been a very tiring week. I was officially moved over to my new job with culinary events. On Thursday we catered and decorated for a women's leadership conference. When I tell you it was a full production, that is not an understatement. We had balloon arches, a shimmer wall, linens, organic garlands, drapes, florals, and a ton of decor pieces. I felt like I was back at home with Party Of 5. I was able to teach the other ladies all of the skills I have learned over the years. My boss was pleased with the outcome and the attendees continuously complemented us on the final product.

Working on an event over the past few days made me realize what my daughter has had to do on her own over the past year since I have been gone. It also made me realize what I was missing and forced me to take a really hard look at what it is that I really want to do when I return.

We left the camp to go to the training center/event venue around 5:30 pm. We did not return until 4 pm count. As we were headed back to the camp one of my coworkers informed me that my name was on the board of my case manager. This definitely made me anxious as I could not imagine why she would need to see me except that it has something to do with my release. I am anxious to see her today to find out exactly what is going on.
