Laser Focused
As the days roll by, it is becoming clearer that my time here is coming to an end. Although it was definitely not an experience that I desired when this all started, I am well aware that it is one that I needed. Throughout this process, I have been extremely selfish and focused on taking care of myself. For that, I am so grateful.
Today, I closed out my third journal. Since being here, I have written in a journal each day. Today, I open up my fourth, my last and final, journal to document the end of this phase of my life journey. All I can say is, God is good! I am blessed that I had the foresight and awareness to write, to journal, to blog, and more.
So now what? How will I spend my final days? What will they look like? That was the focus of today's journal. Here is what I know TODAY.
1. I am a creative and absolutely love the event industry. I will continue to grow my business, expanding into different areas, and teaching others what we did even in my absence. I would love to develop a course for women's prisons to support women in gaining skills they can use to become event industry professionals.
2. I will finalize my first book. It has been a long time coming, but what is a good old fed case without the book to match? I finally did it! I plan to self publish my first book this year! Whoop! Whoop!
3. I will document my return on multiple social media platforms. I have been fortunate enough to have the love, support, and dedication of my friend Lauren, who kept my blog going from day one. Once I leave I will be moving to other media platforms to document my re-entry back into society.
4. And last, but not least, my baby, my love, my heart, Black Girls Cheer is ready for an upgrade, for something new and exciting. We have a lot of opportunities and ideas just waiting to be executed. #BGC4L
All of this is the "doing" I am planning in addition to a whole lot of loving on myself, my family and my friends. This journey has revealed a lot to me about love, life, and relationships. Some things, and people, will continue to fall off, both are okay and in God's plan, which I accept.
I am laser focused. My days begin with prayer, meditation and a trip to the gym to meet God on the spin bike. From there the days roll. My countdown has begun. Prayers up! See you soon.
