A Difficult Conversation: Setting Myself Free
Yesterday, I had one of the hardest conversations of my life. It was a talk I had been putting off for far too long, one that I knew was necessary to truly set myself free. Last Missed Birthday
One of the occasions that has given me the most anxiety since I have been here is Vanessa's birthday. This is the one day that I did not want to be in prison. Especially with her turning 10. I was so hoping to be home. Since tomorrow is her birthday it doesn’t look like that will be happening.

Furlough Recap
What a blessing it was to furlough for 72 hours in order to attend my father's memorial service. However, because of the distance, my case manager was able to secure a longer furlough time for me.
Parenting in Separation
My concern about my credit update was overshadowed by my conversation with my daughters regarding Ness. The principal requested a meeting to discuss what was going on with our family and Ness. He mentioned that he had seen a change in her behavior; she was more aggressive.
